Equal Pay Day Awareness

In 2015, Equal Pay Day was on 9th November: it marks the point in the year when women essentially stop earning because of the pay gap between men and women!

Equal Pay Day was originated by the National Committee on Pay Equity (NCPE) in 1996 as a public awareness event to illustrate the gap between men’s and women’s wages.

From 1 October 2016, any employer who loses a gender pay claim will be required to carry out a full scale audit of their pay practices, and to make public the results.
